don’t get this app if you want to convert 4k
it says that it’s a 4k converter but there lying becase it’s only convers 1080x1920
for all the people who can’t read the description it does not say it will convert your video to 4k, however if u have a 4k movie you can convert it down to full HD,

Won't batch process on M2
I bought this to batch convert about 80 4k files to 1080p. First, it wouldn't process anything without requiring me to pay $10. Fine, I paid the $10. Then, I load all of the files, imput the settings, and hit convert. It crashes without converting anything. Every time, no matter the settings. After playing with it, it will allow you to load four files at a time without crashing. If you attempt to convert more than 4 it crashes. It also converts all files at the same time (so there are multiple files being converted concurrently), instead of doing them one at a time. I am using this on an M2 Macbook running OS14.0. Two stars since it does actually convert files, it just doesn't do what it promised to do.
Be willing to shell out $$$ for even simple things.
All I need is a program that allows me to create video for promotion while I am broke. NO company makes anything for people on a limited budget. NO ONE. They are only for the wealthy. Anyway, in less than 5 minutes with this program, it wanted money for simple things. Even iMovie let me do simple things for free and it's crap. If you are on a budget, skip this program.

Works Great - Learn It First
The free version defaults to less than HD or Ultra HD settings. But you can choose/save different profiles plus change resolution, bit rate, etc. Once you learn the App - it's quite capable of decent conversions and more.

Stopped working
App was really good and I used it from time to time and loved it but unfortunately now it closes any time I try to put any file in. Also I wish it just had a drag and drop option instead of having to search for a file or folder any time. Looks like I may have to look for another program if I can’t get this working.

The best MP4 converter ever
So yeah, I was having some Bluray DVDs, and I used to have a hard time to convert them into mp4 into my Mac and for my phone, thanks God I found this. It keeps the original quality with the audio, it lets you have multiple choice and even upscale or downscale the vibrate and the quality. 4k is for premium one but it's worth

doesnt actually convert your videos to 4k for free you need to purchase it first before you can instead it actually downscales your video from HD to SD unless you purchase it do not install

I have tried at least 6 converter programs. Most if not all had problems with a 10 hour file. They would drop off several hours of the audio file,even though the prompt said it was completed. I have found no issues with thus program. Well done gang...
Broken software
When video conversion takes minutes for every second of video, then it's hopeless garbage. It should never take DAYS to convert an hour of video no matter what the formats. Computer CPU and disks are idling, so the problem is bugs in the software. Paid version has the problem.
Crash time after time
This app saved the day. We could not edit this video we did on skype because the computer kept crashing.

not what i expected
i bought it because it said that it can convert mkv to mp4. well it can't. i tried different mp4 output formats and none work with quicktime. it took me 6hrs to get 4 different formats outputs. not worth the money. to make matters worse i have no idea how to get a refund, oh! well live and learn right.
promises to convert quicktime movie to MKV, however it does Not!
the app goes through the conversion process converting quick time video to MKV format, however at the end you will get unreadable file called"exce" in a black square box:) such a waste of time, it seems like this app is a hox, kto get in to your system.

Does what I needed, which was convert 4k down to 1080. The audio is off on all the videos though so the last 10 seconds or so are just silent because the audio got ahead of the video somehow
Fastest, Most Options, and Free! Like really free.
Everything you could ever need for free and in 1/4 the time of other apps. Negative reviewers must be too clueless to click threw the options or were trying to upscale something like 1080p to 4k which is impossible. I mean think about it…nothing is going to be able to turn a tiny resolution video into massive 4k resolution unless it simply just stretched the image out which you can easily do yourself by making a low quality video fullscreen. That said it converts 4k resolution video very well and has all of the possible options and formats one could need. Some limitations apply to various formats but those are part of how the format was designed and not a decesion made by this app’s developer. So any software would have to follow such limitations for the most part. That said the limitations are few and far between as this app allows tons of customization if you play around with the settings choices. And best of all it’s all free. The rest of the apps available are all just trying to make money and want you to pay for any of the good features that this app does for free! Another great thing about it is it is literally the fastest one too. I’ve tested all of the apps available in the Mac App Store and many free ones available elsewhere and this one by far beats all of the others in terms of how long it takes to convert pretty much any video format to any video format. Wouldn’t mind knowing what command line utility it uses or how it does this.
NO 2K DELI.VERY, NO 4K TO 2K NO CUSTOM WAY TO DO IT.
I have tried 5 different video converters and they are all wacked. Not one of the me , this one included will allow you to encode from 4k to 2k meaning 1440 x 2560 which is the best resolution for 27 and 30 inch Macs. Not one of them allows you to edit or make custom not even wonder share, They promised it could but than had to apologize and this is no different. Crazy , the only way I can do it is to use Adobe Premiere and put each video in the timeline. > HOLY F takes a long time.
Really versatile. Great app.
Batch conversions, custom saved settings, great variaiton of encoding settings. Clip segmentation and splicing is on par with most video editors. Not even a RAM drain, a bit heavy on the CPU if you have an older computer and are doing high quality long video encoding. 2d- 3D converstion is a bit off though, half height or half width export as size described. However Full width or height end up no diffent scale wise. If the orginal video is 16:9 Even if the preview for the conversion shows a 9:16 it will just scale up and stay 16:9 scretching and distorting the picture. Maybe it’s a bug though.
Just what I needed!
I just got a GoPro Hero5 and am trying to edit 4k footage on an ancient MacBook Air with FCPX. I’m a newbie to video and creating proxies didn’t help, so I’m grateful I found a way to batch convert my 4k videos to a useable format. THANK YOU!
Works great!
I am super impressed with this app. It has incredible customizability which I love including the ability to change the mp4 bitrate all the way to 50mbps. It handles every file type I can throw at it icluding Googles VP9! I also like the fact that you can pause the transfer whenever you want. Still can’t really believe it is free. Highly recomend this app. Never once crashed on me and is an absolute work horse.
Terrible quality
It will not encode DNG files as well as the pixel quality is unbearably crushed. Don’t waste your time.
